PEOPLE NEED JOY..........QUITE AS MUCH AS CLOTHING.....

SOME OF THEM NEED IT FAR MORE.
~~~Margaret Collier Graham.~~~
Life is not without pain and difficulty.  Sometimes these are necessary to promote growth and change.
BUT WITH GROWTH SHOULD COME
~JOY~
Joy does await each of us today........we have to but open our eyes to it.  It is here for the grabbing.......
WE NEED JOY IN OUR LIVES JUST AS SURELY AS WE NEED REST AND A GOOD DIET.
Let's have a joyful weekend dear friends.
  10. You commented in this blog entry of mine; "...blog etiquette.
    Does one always need to visit the blog of the commentor? (don't know if that is even a word)..Just curious."
    I'll just give you, my view, since I don't know if there is any place, with all Blog Etiquette Rules. :-) I feel obligated to go vist/comment in every blogger, who comments in mine. It just feels "right" to me, that's all.
    And this is a BIG issue, for me too!
    At times [in my bloggging life, which goes way back, from 'Aunt Amelia's Attic,' YEARS back] it has given me real grief. Becoming too hard to do.
    But....... Then........ I guess I felt as if I had to continue to Follow/Read/Comment in every blog, if the blogger commented in mine. Now this can get difficult.
    Some people only comment rarely, and I admit, I get tired of being the only one to comment, in a back and forth way. No one has to comment every day. But......... I admit I do need some comments.
    And then, there's the issue of.... What if I don't resonate with a commenter's blog? Do I HAVE to keep going there, even though I feel this way?<---At least I was able to stop doing this one! I simply don't have the time anymore, to keep going back to blogs, with which I feel no resonance. Yeaaa me! :-)
    Hmmm, did I answer your question? If not, ask more. That's what I throw these Questions posts out there for. To get answers [or more questions] from other bloggers.
  12. Oh dear, now I wonder if I answered your question [about blog etiquette] in the wrong blog. Eeeek!
    In this entry of mine, you asked if we always need to visit the blog of someone who comments in our blog? And [perhaps elsewhere] I replied that I don't know if all Blogging Etiquette Rules are written down some where... But I feel I have to do so. At least go comment once, in their blog.
    If I don't resonate there, I don't feel I have to follow them. Just don't have the time, and have had to cull my list of those blogs I follow regularly. But... once... I go read and leave a comment. Just me of course. :-) Not sure what others do...
  13. Oh Jo, you don't know how much I needed to hear this....I am in tears just hoping that there will be growth in both parties involved but how true...difficulties are inevitable, but how I want to embrace the JOY that comes from the growth. I need wisdom. Thank you, Anita
  14. Sending a sweet hello from Frog Hollow Farm. This post was a 'joy' to read, and a reminder of what needs to be foremost in our daily lives!!! Now, the comments about blogging etiquette were very interesting. I was so bummed today when I saw that my followers went from 71 to 70 - someone stopped following me...yikes! At first I felt bad, but I do understand how sometimes people just have to cut back on the blogs they follow because it can get very overwhelming. Thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving (as you always do) such a meaningful comment. I always look forward to reading a comment from you! Ciao, bella!
  18. Oh honey, No truer words ever were said. In the most tragic and gravest of times, without searching for and ready to receive even a snippet of joy our
    lives will just have no meaning. Love, Mollye
TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY......I'M GOING TO HAVE A WONDERFUL BIRTHDAY MONTH!!!
I turn 67 today.....and actually I feel better as the years accumulate.  Since I've gotten older I actually have decided that I will celebrate each day during the month of October...just being grateful for being healthy and alive.   I hope each one of you who follow this little blog of mine celebrate each day along with me.... Here are some of the things I have planned for my birthday month: 1.  Listing our current home the end of the first week in November.  We are pretty excited to be moving into a little smaller spot as it means less work and maintenance.  We just want to be able to live more and work less.  Although we still have not found our new spot.....we know it is out there.   2.  Taking a 15 day cruise on the Rhine from Amsterdam to Budapest.  We will visit 5 countries along the way.  One of the stops will be in the place I was born....Nuremberg, Germany.  My  family  left Germany right after the war...when I was quite young.  Memories are almos
PUTTING ON MY GYPSY SHOES......................
Bo Bunny Paper Collection Well.......the coach is packed...the laundry done in the condo....and we will be on our way tomorrow. I often do feel like a gypsy moving from one spot to another....and each year my gratitude grows as I am able to continue this lifestyle. I truly would love to "do up" my coach in Gypsy Style...but alas....not too practical as things probably would be flying all over as we traveled down the road.  (O: But.....a girl can dream.....can't she? ~~~ My suitcase is packed with memories To be opened further down the road When my caravan must be halted The bag waits to be opened Stories to be told and shared Like the gypsy's of so long ago But for now....the wheels keep turning And my case grows larger still Waiting for the day..I must be stopped   And my heart, to the brim, will be filled Hugs from me to you, Jo Gypsy photos:  Electric Gipsyland on Flickr
HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND A MERRY CHRISTMAS
This is a picture of our little tree this year.  Each year our trees seem to be smaller, a function of our getting older and just wanting to deal with less stuff.  I'm sure a few of you feel them same.  Although it does seem to be a little weird that we want to deal with fewer Christmas decorations and give each other MORE STUFF in the way of presents under the tree.   Ahhh...being human is such a quandary sometimes!                                          MERRY CHRISTMAS                                                          Jo
