"LITTLE MISTER GOES TO SCHOOL"............

The above sign best describes our dogs to a "t"..... however....Our new puppy, Skyler, is now enrolled in school...Yep...he starts this Friday. I'm fairly certain he won't know what hit him...so to speak.  He is now seven months old and needs to be trained in walking with a loose leash.  He knows how to sit, will come when summoned (most of the time LOL LOL) and knows instinctively how to fetch....but there is much for him to learn so he can become a "great" dog.   Both of our Cavaliers are "love bugs" and like nothing better than to give us face hugs.....well maybe there is one thing they like better...... Yep, you guessed it,......being a COUCH POTATO. Will keep you posted on "little man's" progress. Have a great day, Jo

HERE'S TO CLAFOUTI......MY SWEET PATOOTIE..........

I've always had a love affair with blueberries.....and now since you can buy organic and a HUGE amount at Costco....I enjoy them even more. Here is an easy summer recipe for Blueberry Clafouti... a simple dessert to keep on hand anytime..... Preheat oven to 350 degrees 1 1/2 pints blueberries washed and drained 4 eggs 1 cup sugar 1cup milk (lowfat is fine) 1 tsp. vanilla 3/4 cup of flour pinch salt powdered sugar Spread blueberries in an 8X10 pan crack eggs in bowl and wisk add sugar and wisk till pale yellow add milk and vanilla...wisk gently add flour...wisk again add salt Pour mixture over blueberries bake about 45 minutes or until center is not soft to touch Cool before cutting and spread with powdered sugar before serving. YUMMMM...... Photo:  Better Photo

IS IT LIVING SIMPLY.....OR SIMPLY LIVING?.............

When one travels in a motor home across this wonderful country of ours....it is necessary to simplify one's lifestyle. It is impossible to bring all your "stuff" along. So....I find myself paying more attention to all the beauty that surrounds me on a daily basis. Driving through a new little town with flower baskets awaiting us.....on every corner.. with a cigar store Indian thrown in for a smile. Looking out my window and seeing all the magnificent trees in the little park that we have stopped over for our night's stay. Visiting with friends in Colorado and having tea outside in their rainforest of a garden Having peonies on my counter in the motor home Seeing autumn's wonders as we drive along the highway Watching the sky.....just before a storm Seeing a huge pink dinosaur on the main highway.....makes me think of my wonderful grandson at home.. Looking up through the sky light in m

WE ARE HERE.......WHERE ARE YOU???.......

Actually, we are not in the middle of a field of wild flowers......nor are we here..... floating in the middle of this beautiful lake.........we are here.... Hope, Idaho.....population 78......the views of  wildflowers and the lake are everywhere as you drive along the highway....incredible.. aren't they?? A little more local color........ Cute funky little cottages.....looking out on a potager garden... Inside the main store, which is the first photo of this little community, there is a restaurant, gallery, lending library and a little local meeting area  situation (I think)... gotta love that purple door..... I would love to live in a community where I could paint my house ANY color I wanted..... Perhaps next time around....eh??  LOL Hugs from this little artist community. Jo

WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL??...........

See.......I told you so! LOL LOL This is "little man" as my wonderful soul mate calls Skyler, our new puppy. Well~~~ We have finally arrived at our destination in Montana.....six days driving two to three hundred miles per day....it is good to be in our little spot.  Our dogs do really well traveling, although, I believe Skyler was a bit car sick yesterday....he wouldn't eat or drink and looked a little "green around the gills"... but he is certainly better this morning....as frisky as usual!! lol lol We are parked a little ways from our condo....our friend, Bud, lets us park in his RV Man Cave so we have the run of the place and it is great for us and great for the dogs. This year, we have rented the condo...for the first time....our neighbors from AZ will be here in a few days to stay there the first two weeks in August.....so we have to skidaddle  and meet the cleaning person and spiff up the place a little. The weather is cool, cool, cool
