ALWAYS AND FOREVER A PLANT LOVER

I am always tickled when I see yet another post in social media about collecting plants....as though THAT was a new thing!   I have always had plants once I had my own home.  In fact...in my early twenties and thirties I had as many as 150 of the little friends living with me and my family. I do admit that number became little over-whelming as I had my children and life became more complicated....but I never disposed of my friends...I just became more selective in which ones I was willing to nurture.  Actually, that is kind of like life....you only keep friends you REALLY VALUE.     Anyway...my plants have been with me through thick and thin...in fact they used to travel with us when we would leave AZ for the summer. But...due to time and age factors (both mine and my plants) I have cut my numbers significantly....(the plants..NOT my age)  haha.....  My next several posts will be about amusi...

I THINK A HOUSE MUST TELL A STORY...........

Look at me~~look at me Please come in and stay Every house has a story to tell Whispers from the floorboards Shadows from the light Every house has a story to tell Rooms in their kaleidoscope of colors Beds holding secrets of their own Every house has a story to tell Doors open more than closed Windows left bare to catch the light Every house has a story to tell Too much clutter stored away...but not forgotten Tidy surroundings saying all is secure here Every house has a story to tell Personal bits of inspiration hung haphazardly here and there Every house has a story to tell What story does your house tell?

EVERYONE HAS A STORY TO TELL............................

We all have stories.  Are you the type of person who thinks your's isn't worth telling?   One day, while visiting my beautiful aunt Ruthie in Kansas, we were talking about blogging.  I commented that I wasn't exactly sure why I started my blog; and my aunt piped up and made this statement.   "I know why you blog.....you want the world to know that you existed."  Perhaps that is it.  Oh....there are other reasons but I do think she may have hit a vein there. Our stories matter...and they matter to more people than just close family or friends.  They matter to the world out there. Your story....told through your blog....no matter what your blog is about will touch someone else today. If you told your story ~~ what would it be about? Your adventure Your humor Your survival Your creativity Your romance Your illness Your growth Your happiness Your soul searching Your everyday life Your pet's life Your recipes Your decorating Just to name a few....

MY PREVIOUS LIFE................

Come on in and join me for a cup of coffee today and I will share a small part of my previous life with you.  No....this is not a post about reincarnation. LOL My beautiful soul mate is my second husband.  My first husband was the father of my two beautiful children. We got married WAY to young...and really neither one of us knew what we were getting into. He went to school...I worked...had kids...the usual hum drum of life went on. However...inside this man's chest...beat the heart of a musician.  Oh...that wasn't his vocation, he was a teacher; but every chance he got he was writing tunes, strumming his guitar, playing small gigs here and there. Which meant, he was often not at home.  I don't think I ever spent one New Year's Eve with him in the eleven year's we were married.  The extra money he brought in with his playing was much needed, but you can only imagine all the difficulty his being gone caused.  I felt he was sort of an absentee father....
