My Grama's Soul

Well, this weekend my wonderful husband and I  packed up the condo in Montana. We are packing personal items we want to take back to AZ with us this year.  Our condo is up for sale and we are not yet sure we are going to participate in the rental program up here.  So...getting it ready just in case. I don't know about you...but once I have moved on from a spot....I am ready for a new adventure.   We have such wonderful memories from each place we have lived and when we pack our beloved things.....all those memories come flooding back. I have always tried to keep just a little something from each spot to incorporate in our home down south.  Whether it is a beautiful photo or piece of art Or just something to refer to from time to time so the memories come flooding back.... You know, when I was younger, I had such a hard time with change....and now....I seem to embrace it.  What a change of heart for me! ...

Here is how it looked from our balcony two days ago........here is what it looks like today...... Had a nice rain overnight and now low clouds with an overcast sky. I always think these low, low clouds look like Santa's eyebrows....makes me smile!  Anyway...... On these kind of days...I like to make my clean out the refrigerator soup.... I'm sure each of you has a recipe for this but here is mine: One large chicken breast boiled in water used to make broth for soup and meat used in soup. Two Johnsonville Brats....I fry these in a pan and cut them up in pieces before adding to my stock. Here is what I used today as I had these things on hand...
