If you wake up in the morning and you have a choice between doing the laundry and taking a walk in the park, GO FOR THE WALK...... Creativity is HEALING......it can mend a broken heart.......it can fill up a soul. Today.....I'm joining other Blogger's in Where Bloggers Create II hosted by Karen Valentine.   My little spot is not grand or glorious, in fact it has several purposes in my life. It is my TV room, Library and art studio. It is furnished with cast offs from several houses and did not cost much to put together, but it is MY ROOM to do with as I please. I can read I can watch TV I can light a fire when it is chilly enough Or I can paint or craft in my little bay-window area that is closed off by a curtain It may not be the grandest of areas or the most  beautifully decorated but it is a spot where I can become completely calm and focused and let my imagination wander at will. I truly believe when you are in that spot.......you are talking to God through your creativity and he is holding your spirit in the palm of his hand. Thank you Karen for hosting this marvelous even

Most of us are aware of the list of the 7 wonders of the world.  it includes the Eiffel Tower, the Grand Canyon, the Pyramids.......just to name a few............ But......if one were to really contemplate all the grand and mysterious wonders wouldn't the following be considered REAL WONDERS OF THE WORLD......... Our ability to SEE..... Our ability to SMELL...... Our ability to HEAR....... Our ability to TASTE........ Our ability to FEEL........... THESE are truly wonder's of the world that God has given us...........let's be grateful and give thanks for each and every one of these wonders every day of our lives.   Like most of you......I love to travel.......BUT THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME!!!! You can find an easy chair............with a pretty pillow.......along the way BUT THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME!! You can find your favorite blue rocker at a spot along your trip...........BUT THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME!!!!!! You might even spot an exotic thing or two.......BUT THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME!!!!! You can send friends a little card telling them you have found such a beautiful spot.........BUT THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME!!!!! nuff' said Jo

As I consider myself......now in the twilight of my years.........(you notice I DID NOT SAY SUNSET!!)  (O:  (O: I do find myself reflecting more and more on life and my general circumstances in it. When I was younger, I was always looking forward to the next thing........the next new adventure...whether it was going to the local pool or having a cookout in the back-yard with burgers and watermelon. I was rarely in the present moment.....always thinking about WHEN......WHEN I DO THIS OR WHEN I GET THAT!! Something does seem to happen when one gets older (if you are lucky).  You seem to be able to slow down and be in the present moment more.  I can now sit under a shade tree and be perfectly content in my present environment. I  can almost hear "PAN" PLAYNG HIS FLUTE with the soft gentle breezes blowing my hair!! AHHHHHHH.......life is good! Blessings dear friends please have a PRESENT day. Jo

  I think one of the nicest things about having a blog is visiting all the other fabulously creative people in our world.  It is not the same as Facebook or Twitter.......it seems there is so much more creativity displayed. I have indicated before that I really am a beginning artist....in fact I have a hard time calling myself one.....but this year I think I am going to stretch my wings a bit and try to really  become one. with all the encouragement and inspiration that is given by fellow bloggers one should be able to really evolve in one's chosen medium I'm not really sure  which avenue I will chose for my expressive self.......although blogging is certainly one of them.............but I'm certain to find the right one if I continue to experiment and stretch those artistic wings!!
