AUTUMN MEMORIES..............

"Slow down and enjoy life.  It's not only the scenery you miss by going too fast~~you also miss the sense of where you are going....and why."
Eddie Cantor

Getting ready to depart from the North country...it is such a bitter sweet time for us.

We see so many wonderful spots along the way ..... and being able to see the change of seasons is so very special.   Arizona does not have the change of seasons like other parts of the country does....it goes from hot to less hot. LOL

These shots have been taken from all over this beautiful country of ours.  Oregon, New Mexico, Montana, Idaho, Washington and Iowa.

Each spot was so very beautiful in its own way.

We have yet to travel much down South or to the New England states....but we will make it....it is on our to do list.

By the way....just learned how to put my name on my pictures.  Have done a few here....it is really not too difficult.....but being somewhat computer challenged (O:  it does take a little time to do.   Being able TO REMEMBER the process can be a little difficult for those of us who are "technoslugs". LOL LOL

Hope you have enjoyed my little photo gallery today.  We will be leaving here in a few days ....so will post and check in when I can.

Enjoy all this beautiful autumn weather.

Hugs,

Jo

  6. I very much loved the photo tour today.

Yesterday I prepared the Newman's baked chicken, my husband is a meat and potato's man, and not inclined to like new recipes. He loved this, we both did. Thank you.

    Be safe on your travels.....

  10. I always admire the artful arrangement of your blog site. You are in no way a technoslug. When I see the arrangement of text and photos, I wonder if I could ask if you would suggest a direction for my anemic site.

Your script is always easy to read. In addition to the visual portion of the script, I find that the poems and text are also easy and satisfying reading. Your technique of presentation are quite inviting. I feel as if I am coming to a room filled with neighbors who are having tea together.

I wonder which photo is New Mexico. Perhaps it is the statue of children with book? Beautiful photo sample of autumn in North America. I love your watermark.

  19. The Photo Gallery was lovely Jo... and so much fun to come along on your Journey visually... I can certainly relate to the challenge of Tech knowledge coming slowly but surely, you're doing a good job!

Hope to bump into you at the next Occassional Sale then at SWEET SALVAGE. I had so many Supporters from the Land Of Blog come up and introduce themselves, it was quite surreal, and such a Joy to meet some of this wonderful Community face-to-face and get to know each other and chat! Had to smile at the hot and less hot reference, so true! It finally dipped below 100 for a brief while, but its back up again. *Wipes sweat from brow...*

TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY......I'M GOING TO HAVE A WONDERFUL BIRTHDAY MONTH!!!

I turn 67 today.....and actually I feel better as the years accumulate.  Since I've gotten older I actually have decided that I will celebrate each day during the month of October...just being grateful for being healthy and alive.   I hope each one of you who follow this little blog of mine celebrate each day along with me.... Here are some of the things I have planned for my birthday month: 1.  Listing our current home the end of the first week in November.  We are pretty excited to be moving into a little smaller spot as it means less work and maintenance.  We just want to be able to live more and work less.  Although we still have not found our new spot.....we know it is out there.   2.  Taking a 15 day cruise on the Rhine from Amsterdam to Budapest.  We will visit 5 countries along the way.  One of the stops will be in the place I was born....Nuremberg, Germany.  My  family  left Germany right after the war...when I was quite young.  Memories are almos

PUTTING ON MY GYPSY SHOES......................

Bo Bunny Paper Collection Well.......the coach is packed...the laundry done in the condo....and we will be on our way tomorrow. I often do feel like a gypsy moving from one spot to another....and each year my gratitude grows as I am able to continue this lifestyle. I truly would love to "do up" my coach in Gypsy Style...but alas....not too practical as things probably would be flying all over as we traveled down the road.  (O: But.....a girl can dream.....can't she? ~~~ My suitcase is packed with memories To be opened further down the road When my caravan must be halted The bag waits to be opened Stories to be told and shared Like the gypsy's of so long ago But for now....the wheels keep turning And my case grows larger still Waiting for the day..I must be stopped   And my heart, to the brim, will be filled Hugs from me to you, Jo Gypsy photos:  Electric Gipsyland on Flickr

HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND A MERRY CHRISTMAS

This is a picture of our little tree this year.  Each year our trees seem to be smaller, a function of our getting older and just wanting to deal with less stuff.  I'm sure a few of you feel them same.  Although it does seem to be a little weird that we want to deal with fewer Christmas decorations and give each other MORE STUFF in the way of presents under the tree.   Ahhh...being human is such a quandary sometimes!                                          MERRY CHRISTMAS                                                          Jo
