LIKE MANY OF YOU OUT THERE IN BLOGLAND....
I have been the recipient of many..many tags. Some have been purchased...some have been gifts. I love each and everyone of them..but have been somewhat perplexed about how I would be able to display all these beauties so I could see them on a regular basis.
Well...I found my solution. I purchased this macrame plant holder up in Montana last summer. It is certainly a throw back to the 60's but I liked the shape and texture so I brought it home. Used it up there for a while but decided I would bring it South with me this last fall.
SO HERE IT IS....A PERFECT DISPLAY FOR ALL THOSE BEAUTIFUL TAGS I HAVE RECEIVED FROM ALL YOU BEAUTIFUL LADIES OUT THERE.
Now...I must confess...I have even more tags....oh....where to display them.
So..I decided here would be the perfect place.
It is an old bird cage stand that I have simply hung a chandelier on...strung a bunch of beads and crystals...and then hung more tags on the form. This is in my bedroom and I light this little beauty every night when I enter my bedroom. It reminds me of all the wonderful friends I have made this last year and I am so very GRATEFUL for every last one of you.
Here is to you sweet friends!!!
KEEP PRAYING FOR JAPAN.
Jo
I noticed you are a fan of Tolkien and thought I'd drop a note to say hi. I am an author and I'm looking to connect with as many readers in the fantasy genre as I can. My first novel is popular with Tolkien fans so maybe you'll want to check out my blog so we can connect! www.FlamingPen.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteHow clever you are to think of these ways to hang your beautiful tags. I would never thought of this and it nice that when you enter the room you can think of how many friends truly love you.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week

Brilliant idea! It's beautiful Jo. Very clever! Can you think of a way to display the 3 full albums of ATCs I've collected?
ReplyDeleteQuite a clever idea! Something I would never have thought of.

I don't even know about tags! But yours look nice. sandie
ReplyDeleteIsn't nice to be able to see what you've received rather than tossing them in a drawer? If I had wall space, I would use big frames to make corkboards and display cards and tags tha way. But unfortunately, I've used just about every bit of free space I have. :/ Have a great week Jo. Best wishes, Tammy
ReplyDeleteHi Jo, how creative you are! I love all of your tags displayed! The macrame plant hanger is my favorite!... I too have so many special tags from bloggers I want to display... you have given me some great ideas!... I also use some of mine for pretty bookmarks... xoxo Julie Marie

Oh, you're sooooo clever:)
ReplyDeleteWell where have I been? I've not heard of "tags" and they are really wonderful. I can imagine your pleasure in seeing them around you every day and thinking of your blogging friends who sent them to you. I'd love seeing them up close.
ReplyDeleteBest,
Bonnie
Jo~
ReplyDeleteThey're both lovely! Since I tend to lean more toward rustic or primitive decor, I have to admit that the plant hanger is my personal favorite. How wonderful~ Chandeliers full of friends!
Every time I pop over here, I can't help but say to myself, "Now, why didn't I think of that?" Well done, my dear. Brava!
Blessings,
Mrs B
What a clever idea and it makes such a lovely display! I love the photo of you and your grandchild. So sweet!

ReplyDeleteGood to see such ordinary things made into something beautiful
ReplyDeleteBonsoir Jo! I love how you thought to use your birdcage stand. I have one, and it stands lonely, in a corner of my laundry room. But you, mon ami, have shared a fabulous repurpose for it! I am going to work on it this very weekend. Merci! Chelle
ReplyDeleteCreative brilliance! I love your idea. I have mused myself many time about how to display tags.
