My post today is highlighting two beautiful bloggers. the photo above is a photo of a gorgeous necklace that I received earlier this month...and have been neglectful in posting about.  It seems .... with traveling  ~~just living, etc. time gets away from me. Anyway the beautiful piece above was gifted to me by HOME AND HEART .  Please visit this dear lady...she has a lovely blog and is so generous in giving us her beautiful images~~not to mention the beautiful jewelry she makes. This is what is so wonderful about  blogging....you are able to meet so many beautiful and creative women and men who you would never come across in your everyday life.

I received this painting in the mail the other day....It was something I won from sweet Angie over at Angela's Acrylics . She is truly a talented artist who works as a E.R. nurse in her day job.  I have followed her for quite sometime and it always amazes me how she makes acrylics look like oils in her work. Please give her a visit..it is truly worth your time to see all the amazing work she creates.  Simple yet elegant.   I have always liked putting small works in ornate frames..it's just me...but I love the look and feel. Have a cherry...I mean cheery day my sweet friends!! Jo

Sleep eludes me..... In this night time still Mind racing..thoughts bouncing.. "HE WHO PLANTS A GARDEN...PLANTS HAPPINESS." ~~Chinese proverb I'm a gardner.....always have been.....always will be. NO....I don't plant to eat~~I plant for beauty alone. My garden is not formal..nor is it manicured. It mostly pops up...all over...on it's own ~~ thru what I call "volunteers". Every so often I'll throw in a new flower or two...but mostly....it thrives best with minimal planting and just tender loving care.   Let's not be so hard on ourselves if we don't have the perfect garden. Which brings me to my SIGNPOST FOR THE SOUL~~ WEEK THREE "God was the first loosey-goosey gardner.  If our gardens were meant to be manicured don't you think he would have done it in the first place with all the natural forests and vegetation he created." Again.....just me thinking out loud....if you love manicured gardens please take no offense...I just have never been able to pull one off!! (O: Hugs as always, Jo First

I know mine doesn't....... when I began blogging and selected a title for my blog....I know exactly who I wanted to honor....my beautiful French grandmother...Veda Maupin... however....as I have continued down this path...I have realized that my blog does not really reflect me....my style....oh....the writing is mine...and most of the pictures are mine...but my header does not reflect who I really am. SO........with that said.....there will be some changes coming here soon....I really am a Bohemian at heart.. La Boheme in French...perhaps it is because of my somewhat gypsy lifestyle..so it is time to freshen up a little.  Oh my blog will still reflect on my lovely grandmother...but it will also be a little more of me. I do so hope all of you will continue with me on this little journey....as I do so enjoy each and every one of you. so please keep an eye out for me and my new look. Hugs to all.... Just returned from a little trip in our sweet motorhome..... We actually attended a rally in Quartsite, AZ.....if you have never been to Quartsite you have missed a treat... The MINERAL AND GEM SHOW was this weekend. Our group had about 60 motorhomes all attending our rally....we circle the wagons just like the old pioneers and eat, drink, play games and just have an all out good time.  We all boondocked....dry camped for 4 days. You must understand....thousands of people from all over the country descend on this little spot during the early Spring months to attend all the flea markets...gem and rock shows....RV shows.....bead shows...it is a rock and bead HEAVEN!! They arrive in anything from a clapped out old school bus to the most expensive motor coach made....and we all camp next to one another out in the desert!!! The flea markets and stalls sell everything under the sun....you can spend days looking at all the stuff!! HERE IS A LITTLE QUARTSITE INFO IF YOU ~~ARE INTEREST

I believe Americans are the biggest consumers of stuff on the planet.. we buy stuff we trade stuff we make stuff we hoard stuff we give away stuff we throw away stuff we think about stuff we even.....dream about stuff Well...for me in this stage of my life....I'm trying to downsize......so I'm LETTING GO OF STUFF.... Which brings me to this thought SIGNPOST FOR THE SOUL No. 2 There will NEVER BE enough STUFF to fill an EMPTY SOUL... I know the holidays are over....but I just had to post about this wonderful give away that I just received from Laurie Anna's Vintage Home .   I actually won it over the holidays...but everything gets so hectic then I didn't even know I won it until Laurie was gracious enough to e-mail me. It is a little over 22" high and made by the wonderful Dee Foust.... I have him out and displayed on my piano...he is so very lovely I may have to leave him up all year. Thank you again Laurie for your generosity....by the way please visit her and her wonderful on-line shop. She has wonderful items for sale and is located in Canton, Texas....Ahhhh those Texas bloggers!!!!

but the BLUE of CALMING AND GLADNESS the blue comes forth in gushes ~~ like the spring rainfall or the clear blue sky of a winter morn it's as tho the blue has caused me to be reborn. this gentle blue seeps into me..like water to a stream Somehow there is a place now that is very rarely seen SO STAY WITH ME MY BLUE FRIEND I'M liking what I see....don't leave me yet....my new friend.
