Today....I'm joining all the ladies over at A Stroll Thru Life for tabletop Tuesday.
This is the first time I have participated in this....and since I have always loved creating little displays on my holiday table...I would like to share mine with you this year.
I'm really not much of a collector of Christmas decor...but I have managed to collect a few shoe forms....and I wanted to display both the rustic and shiny this year.
I also wanted to use some of my mother's very old china and my mother-in-law's silver.....nothing matched...but that was o.k. by us. We just wanted their spirits there with us and our friends.
For me.....making a beautiful Holiday table has always been very important....nothing formal....just pretty....I truly enjoyed putting this one together ....... and sharing it with you.
Have a beautiful day,
Jo

Mismatch china is always a delightful way to go! Your red and white transferware will become a favorite, and is easy to incorporate into holiday, Valentines, and everyday tablescapes. I look forward to more of your pretty designs. ~CJ
ReplyDeleteYour table is beautiful, Jo! Everything sparkles, especially those lovely mercury glass candle holders. Love the glass container with the ornaments, too! Enjoy the party!

I popped over to visit from TTT and am so glad you joined us! Your table is so pretty and, wow, I love the cloche filled with ornaments. Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteTruly beautiful table top Jo. I like the fact that some of your things didn't match...that makes it even more decorative...and the reason for wanting those no longer with you to be present at the table is even better!
ReplyDeleteOh what a lovely table and your setting is stunning. Precious memories of loved ones too. Thanks for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteOh how pretty, Jo! I love old shoe forms. I am not a collector, I only have one, but would love to have more. How special to use things from your mother, and your mother-n-law.
