HERE YA GO DARLIN'................

OK.....this mature lady is really likein' Texas now.  Last night was our last get together with our group.  We had a lovely dinner and dancing to a big swing band.

When my young cowboy waiter served me my meal his comment was "Here ya go darlin".

This mature lady has not had such a sweet thing said in many a moon!!
Made my evening......I'll tell you that!!

Told sweet hubby about the comment when we came home and he said he did not hear it or he would have "defended my honor".  Haaaaaaaa  Haaaaaaaaa!!!

As if that were not enough to make me giggle like a young girl......the handsome young thing told me how much he Loved!!! my boots.  (O:  (O:

Oh.......those Texas boys sure know how to make a woman smile!!!!

Bye now,

Jo

  1. YIHAAA!!! When a compliment comes by that way, it takes us by surprise and the only thing to do is TAKE IT!! HIHHIHIIIHIIII!!! How lovely, Jo...it sounds like you had a blast. And thank you sweet one for coming to visit me...it was an honor to be invited to such an event. I soaked it up and got teary-eyed when we were asked to stand and everyone clapped. Ahhhh...being a teacher has its thankless moments, but when you are thanked, it makes up for all those tearful evenings driving home, wondering if you made a difference, or taught well.

LET US CELEBRATE WHAT IS GOOD AND LOVELY! Your blog is just so happy!

  22. HI!!!
I have always said, I can pick out a Real Texan Man in about 1 minute or less, so polite and kind and they have a very sexy walk about them!!!!haha
and they say the darn cutest things ever, I sat on a flight from Houston to Orlando with a Texan Man, he was also a former Navy Seal, so Polite, Smart and made me feel real safe, I often wondered after our flight if he was an air marshall, he never said that, he said he was an auctioneer!!!!Can you imagine, he would have to be quick with all his Thank you Maams and Sirs!!!!
