O.K. all you gals with studios out there.......I have a simple question for you.
How do you keep those studios, with all that stuff, from becoming one big dust bowl?
I spent almost four hours this morning working in my studio, dusting, washing, sweeping, etc. My spot is so tiny compared to the rest of you out there; just a little cubby.
And.......I don't have nearly as much stuff as most of you serious artists. So........how do you keep from coughing, sneezing, wheezing, etc. whenever you are in there visiting all those little dust bunnies.
How do you keep your studio clean??????
Good day to everyone,
Jo

What's clean????? I don't even bother anymore! In case you haven't noticed, living in Arizona means DUST, and you never get ahead of the dust. Sorry, but it's true!

Yep, if you find the answer to that one, let us all know!!! I have the same exact problem. With my entire house!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!

Hi Jo, my crafts room is not nearly as large or fancy as some of the ladies either... and mine does get dusty... how about we make dust bunny dolls or necklaces or something we can sell to get rid of them??? xoxo Julie Marie
ReplyDeleteI say that if you have enough stuff laying around then you can cover up the dust! My biggest problem is thread and fabric scraps ending up on the floor. Then, my two helpers, kittie 1 and 2 add to the dust and fur flying! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI like Julie's idea to make dust bunny dolls or something....

Dear Jo, my studio is a wreck! I must take a day to clean it soon, or my family will have to send a search party to find me! haha It is a task that should be done weekly for me, but I have been so busy with comissions that I have put it off for nearly 5 weeks now! eeee ggaaddsss it's a hot mess! xoxo Christel
ReplyDeleteOh I am so glad you commented on that. I didn't mean to post it yet but clicked post instead of save. I needed the weekend to write what goes along with it.
ReplyDeleteI hope you drop in to see the actual post. Yipes.
I don't have a studio. But I have those issues, in other places in my home. So I can use directive too. ,-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great post. I just spent over 7 hours on Tuesday cleaning out my art room and I was wondering the same thing. BLAH!!!

ReplyDeleteYou said the "c" word.

I only have a little cubby too, so I would also be interested in hearling what the other gals have to offer.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Anne
I often wonder the same thing! Hope you find the answer you're looking for!
ReplyDeleteDearest Jo....I don't! Keep it clean, that is! Maybe all the constant activity keeps the dust bunnies away!!!
ReplyDeleteOh thank you so much for visiting my blog and leaving me such kind words. You know what, I went back to college at 34 and I remember crying over a writing assignment, because I could not construct a sentence. I then went on to study French and now I am fully licensed to teach elementary IN FRENCH...it is never too late. In fact, I like it just that way....learning at an older age because there is no substitute for wisdom. The wrinkles are worth it all!
Bisous Jo! Anita
I just name the dust bunnies...they're my pets (:
ReplyDeleteJust a quick say Hello while I'm in transition..
Should have the computer back on next week sometime. I'll let you know.
Hope the foot is still attached...just keep dusting (o:
