It's Monday - so it's time for Vintage Christmas Monday, hosted by The Potting Shed - Anything Goes Here. Please click on her button on sidebar if you would like to participate.
Ok, about this wooden airplane. This little girl is 31 years old - I don't know if that is vintage or not - but she has aged a lot better than I have. :)
Now for her story - 31 years ago I was a struggling, divorced, mother supporting and raising two children on my own. Somehow, this wonderful man ended up in my life - and he loved me warts and all.
It was out first Christmas eve together and he had been telling me how much he had always wanted to take flying lessons but somehow just never made it happen. So guess what happened.......this is just what Santa got him (Santa was a female in this case). HE WAS OVER THE MOON HAPPY!
Now Santa had to put it on her Mastercard bill and make payments on it for well over a year - but Santa didn't even care. Because....she was OVER THE MOON HAPPY that she had made him so happy!!
NOW, ISN'T THIS WHAT CHRISTMAS IS ALL ABOUT!!
Yes, it is! What a wonderful story and such a cute vintage keepsake to remember it! xo Joan
