I'm having a bad day today....usually....that doesn't happen to me..or if it does....I keep it to myself.
Watching the news about the looting and the hurricane destruction.....makes me sad and angry.
Reading about a dear friends distress over a family members recent suicide....makes me sad and angry.
Getting dragged into other people's messes ..... makes me sad and angry.
Following all the politicians in the news with the bickering, backstabbing, and downright nastiness.....makes me sad and angry.
All the unemployment and entitlement issues in our country.......makes me sad and angry.
All the children in the foster care system whose parent's are totally irresponsible.....makes me sad and angry.
I could go on and on.......
Sometimes.....I wonder if our Forefathers are turning in their graves.....looking at the mess we have made of things. Oh...I know....we live in the greatest country on earth.....but as people....I feel....we often miss the mark.
Wonder what our CREATOR thinks of all this??
Just me being cranky out-loud before I blow a gasket!! LOL LOL

ReplyDeleteI can feel the same way, too. Sometimes you just have to turn off the TV and throw out the newspapers. My husband watches CNN constantly...it would give me an ulcer. I have my cranky moments but I'm pretty good at distracting myself. Sometimes all you can do is pray.

Jo, I have been feeling this way myself lately. We are supposed to be the most intelligent creatures on this planet but....look what we've done with it. It makes me seriously wonder where we're headed.

ReplyDeleteI totally understand your sadness. When I sit and drink my first cup of coffee in the mornings and watch the news it an sometimes make or break my day.
Yes, our country is in a sad state and all we can do is pray that we all will be blessed.

Sad and angry thing is, all the blowing of gaskets won't fix such messes, just makes us crankier.... So just grab a big handful of pest dust and smile, knowing you're one of the roses among the thorns....xoxo
ReplyDeleteSorry you're having a rough time of it, Jo. Wish I had some extra pest dust for you, but try to hang in there. I don't think it can get much worse than it is, so it just has to get better. Our forefathers must be pretty tired of all that spinning.
