Today I'm linking up with all the great artists participating in PAINT PARTY FRIDAY....
You can find them here........http://paintpartyfriday.blogspot.com
Here is a little something I have been working on
I have a very dear friend who has been going through a lot lately....both personally and financially.....
I wanted to paint something to represent her at this time in her life.
She is beginning to see things clearly...perhaps for the first time......there are flowers and butterflies in her future showing signs of positive growth. I've added the moon because I have always felt it was a strong heavenly body.
I know.....what I paint can be a little weird at times...but as I have indicated before...I always go with my feelings.
This is done in watercolor and pentel markers.
I've also stated before that I don't really consider myself an artist...but it is so much fun to be able to participate in this with all of you.......that I ALWAYS enjoy myself....and that is what creativity is all about....don't you agree???
Hugs to all,
Jo

Thoughtful and gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteYour painting is lovely. It is so creative the way you have pieced everything together to represent your friends life.

I'm sure your friend really appreciates you effort and talent in portraying your feelings about and for her. I love the soft colors. I just read a book about van Gogh. He wasn't considered an artist by many at the time he painted. Maybe you'll be famous some day. Just don't lop off your ear lobe. hahaha (a little artistic humor) OK I'm stopping now.
ReplyDeleteHi Jo. Your painting is beautiful. I am sure that your friend will love it because you painted it and because there is a personal meaning just for her. I love all the colors as it looks just like stained glass.

I LOVE this Jo! And who says you're not an artist? YOU? Well, YOU ARE!! The best artist is one who expresses it through the heart before it gets to the hands. You're awesome :)
ReplyDeleteIf this lucky gal see's things like you do, she'll be fine.
Enjoy being so talented:)
you are definitely an artist! Just look at what beauty you have created, here! you are using a paint brush and watercolor! You are using your feelings to paint....isn't that what art is all about? I love the idea of the flowers and butterflies - they always signal freedom and the future to me, too.
ReplyDeletekeep up the good work!
I like it very much, often you can't explain arts but only to enjoy it...because there is something special like magic that bring your attention, like magic.Have a nice day!
ReplyDeleteYour work is lovely. The fact that you create is all that matters. Working with watercolors is no easy task. I'm sure your friend will appreciate your thoughtfulness. Best wishes, Tammy
ReplyDeleteYou are so kind to paint this for a friend in need... I am happy she is starting to see these things clearer... love the birdie in your painting!... xoxo Julie Marie PS You ARE an artist!
ReplyDeleteDearest Jo, I'm looking at that artwork and wondering why you don't consider yourself an artist. I could never do that! That painting is beautiful on so many levels! Love it~ Hugs, Mitzi
ReplyDeleteI love your watercolor - such lovely colors and such meaning in it. You have a lovely talent.
ReplyDeleteOh Jo, but you ARE an artist. Not only in the painting department, but with words, thought and deeds. This painting is magnificent and the symbology is amazing! Your gifts are a treasure to all who know you. Hugs to you, dear friend, Mina.
