She sneaks in on Tristen's feet
Clouds building with anticipation
Making huge marshmallow hills in the SKY
AND...OH THE SKY......
THIS SKY THAT STRETCHES AS THOUGH TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH
DID I MENTION THE SMELL??
AS CLEAN AS IVORY SOAP
Don't forget the light ~~ the ever changing light on the lake
From blue green to blue to gray and back again.
Then comes the much awaited lightning and thunder
Such huge cracks you would think the sky would divide
The rain finally comes ~~although briefly
Making this Montana wonderland come to life again

Saw a bumper sticker that said
"Montana IS what America WAS".
Kind of nice isn't it.
Have a beautiful weekend dear friends,
Jo
Oh, I would love to see Montana. What fabulous pictures. The vast sky, the blue of the waters. You've captured it all.

Beautiful, just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love storms no matter where, but the wide open spaces of God's country are the best. You captured its beauty.
ReplyDeleteMontana looks wonderful! Summer storms can be very exciting for the tourist but not for the farmers.
ReplyDeletecertainly looks like God's country to me...outstanding photos!!

Beautiful Montana! I've never been! But I do love wide open spaces and the countryside in all its glory. I am definitely NOT a city girl! A nice summer shower that puts on a quick show and then is gone is just wonderful! Have a great day. Tammy

I love your blog...it's beautiful...as are you. When you come into the store (Vintiquities) it's like a breath of fresh air comes and fills the place.

ReplyDeleteOh, and I think the bumper sticker speaks the truth:)

We went from 106 * to 79* in a half hour!!We were at heavens door sitting out on our front porch with the rain misting our faces, and the wind blowing all around..the smell was so fresh and clean...aaahhhh xoxox Christel
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous pictures. Montana is beautiful. We've travelled through it many times on our way from Alberta to Arizona.
ReplyDeleteSplendid photos and sharing, oh Montana. One day.
ReplyDeleteI miss Montana, there is no place on earth like it.
ReplyDeleteI have always thought Montana was so beautiful. I know part of the allure is that is has not been overpopulated as so many other states have been and there is the opportunity to really enjoy nature. I could not agree with the bumper sticker more.
ReplyDeleteFabulous photos!

Dear Jo... these images are picture Postcard perfect! I love the smell of the Desert after a rare thunderstorm & we look forward to the Monsoon Season when everything bursts into bloom during the brief window of opportunity it has for it's life cycle in such a harsh environment.
ReplyDeleteDid you take pixs of your Beautiful Grandson on his 1st Day of School? I'm glad that he was excited. The G-Kids actually love School too, but this was a new School they were going to this year so they had the 1st Day Jitters.
Blessings from the Arizona Desert... Dawn... The Bohemian
