We are still traveling south to home in Az. Have met lots of wonderful people and seen lots of beautiful spots along the way. The above pic was taken of a fellow blogger.....aka http://justcallmejake.blogspot.com
We met up in Park City, Utah....one of my favorite spots in the country. We got to know one another a little better which was a wonderful treat. If you get a chance....stop by her blog....she is one FUNNY WOMAN!!
See the lovely bird necklace around my neck.....
Vicki....aka....Jake.....gave me this little gift on our meeting.....she is so very thoughtful.
~~~~~~~~~
Here are some more shots around the area and heading south to Colorado....Autumn is in full swing in this part of the country and it is such a thrill for Brad and I to see all the fall color.
These shots were all taken between Utah and Colorado. We crossed over Monarch Pass....and the continental divide.
The visitor center above is completely covered in snow during the winter months and they have to snow plow themselves out in the spring.....can you imagine??
~~~~~~~~~~
On another note......yesterday was my birthday. Yep.....I turned 65.....come on Medicare. I'm probably one of the few people I know who are actually pleased by this....Not growing older.....just growing better!
My wonderful aunt Ruthie had a little get together in my honor.....she knows how much I love cream puffs....so.....she made me a batch.
Here is what greeted us at our coach on my birthday morning......
So....I bet you are wondering what this is......well so did we??? LOL LOL LOL
Here is the whole batch
Kind of look like flying saucers....don't you think? Just a little pilot error....as they say.
LOL
Anyway....she made another batch and they turned out PERFECT!
My cousins and their families were able to join us and we had a wonderful time catching up. We usually stop here every year while traveling to see "my favorite aunt" (O: She is in her mid-eighties and as spry as you could ever imagine. She sets a fine example, and she is really a wonderful woman.
Once again....I'm sorry for not visiting each of you as much as I would like. Traveling and the wi-fi systems make it almost impossible to download blogs.
Miss all of you.
hugs,
Jo

I used to live in Utah for 27 years ( I quite miss it). All my kids and grandkids are still there, but I remarried and ended up Here...in Alberta. Stinking Cold Wintery Alberta (tee,heee)
Happy birthday. I just turned 60 in Sept. I like your saying not getting older, just getting better. Cause that is what I intend to do. YUP
