DIVINE INTERVENTION..............................

Look at this beautiful hibiscus bloom....is there anything more lovely?

Any person who says there is no divine order to our world surely must be mistaken.

With all the tumult around us constantly I challenge each of us to simply "go outside and smell the roses" or hibiscus for that matter.

Just show gratitude for all this wonderful planet has to offer.  Instead of "whining" about what you don't have look around and see what you do have....and it doesn't cost a dime!
Me on my soapbox today....Just sayin'

TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY......I'M GOING TO HAVE A WONDERFUL BIRTHDAY MONTH!!!

I turn 67 today.....and actually I feel better as the years accumulate.  Since I've gotten older I actually have decided that I will celebrate each day during the month of October...just being grateful for being healthy and alive.

I hope each one of you who follow this little blog of mine celebrate each day along with me....
Here are some of the things I have planned for my birthday month:
1.  Listing our current home the end of the first week in November.  We are pretty excited to be moving into a little smaller spot as it means less work and maintenance.  We just want to be able to live more and work less.  Although we still have not found our new spot.....we know it is out there.
2.  Taking a 15 day cruise on the Rhine from Amsterdam to Budapest.  We will visit 5 countries along the way.  One of the stops will be in the place I was born....Nuremberg, Germany.  My  family  left Germany right after the war...when I was quite young.  Memories are almost non existent for me during …

KEYS IN THE SONG OF LIFE........................

I heard this phrase the other day in a song I was listening to.  It gave me pause to really consider this phrase as it does relate to one's life.

If you really think about it, a song, is like a life....it has a beginning....a middle....and an end.

Some songs are made up of mostly flat notes.....as are many lives...boring beyond belief....never taking a risk or a chance...always fearful...always waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Other songs are sharp notes....always unsettled...giving rise to dissonance....incomplete and incongruous with the surroundings.  Always causing a uproar....never settled...always..looking....looking..
looking.

Then there is the song....composed of some flat and some sharp.....always looking for that balance....not too extreme one way or the other. Different parts of life may play different notes here....but...the goal is ALWAYS to get the life back into balance....managing gracefully.

I think next time I see my friends or meet a new person...I shall try to …
