"The most wrenching fear that one experiences is the fear one feels for others..when one loves, one fears for the other." David Brazier
Why is doing the right thing oftentimes the HARDEST thing?
When rescuing becomes EN-NABELING ...you have totally missed the target. This has been a hard lesson for me to learn and I have suffered greatly because of my fear. Perhaps this time the lesson has been learned. Who knows?
Just me....

I've had to learn how to let go of my fears for my son and I'm doing a lousy job of it. But I work on it every day. He's also good at gently telling me to back off. But as a parent, the fear never goes away. We have to learn to control it. Not easy.
ReplyDeleteMany, many people struggle with this but you're right. Tough Love is the answer and better for everyone in the long run. Sorry to hear this is raising its ugly head for you right now. Wishing you strength and peace.
