ANNIVERSARY FLOWERS.....................................

Yesterday was my wedding anniversary.  June 1st, 1979 was the day my sweet Brad and I tied the knot...
as they say.

We had a very simple wedding as it was a second marriage for the both of us...  In a small home down in central Phoenix....38 years ago.  Only immediate family joined us and we were married by a Justice of the Peace.

Neither one of us had much in the way of stuff or much money for that matter;  but we had my two kids and each other and that is all that seemed to matter.

Lots and lots of flowers decorated our home for this event...are you surprised?
Daisies were my favorite flower then so we filled the place up.

The JP wore a Kelly Green leisure suit...which I WILL NEVER FORGET.  When he rang the door bell and I did take my breath away...I'll tell you that!

The whole event was catered by Miracle Mile of our favorite inexpensive eating places...and I think the cake was from Safeway.

Pretty simple compared to today's weddings that I see in the news and on the net.  We honeymooned in San Diego over the weekend as we both had to be back to work on Monday.

The years have flown by in the blink of an eye and I can honestly say we are still truly just that "young couple in love" who tied the knot 38 years ago.

  1. Congratulations on your Anniversary. Sounds like you found the right man. Your roses are beautiful.

  2. Congratulations to you and your husband on your 38 years together.

  3. Beautiful memories! We spared expense as well on our wedding day (my one and only!). It still took!

  4. Happy Anniversary -- wishing you many more! I had a good laugh at the JP's leisure suit. My gawd, those things were ugly, eh?

  5. What beautiful roses and such sweet memories. I can just picture the kelly green leisure suit. Here is to many more happy years..Judy

Mother's Day is always a bittersweet day for me.  I lost my own beautiful mother many, many years ago and miss her still. How...
