I actually have both. I'd fought against a cell phone from day one, but in my old apartment, when I found that the people upstairs had discovered a way to use my phone line in the basement, I cancelled it and hubby and I both got cell phones. Then, when we moved here, we put in a land line as well. When my old cell phone broke, hubby got me a Smart Phone. I use it for everything...playing games, keeping in touch, and when my old computer breaks down, visiting blogs. Have a very happy holiday, my friend. Oh, by the way, do you remember party lines? LOL!!!Mary
Oh Mary....of course I remember party lines. I tried to explain them to my grandson the other day and I think he thought it was some kind of "party" using the phone.....what a hoot THAT was!! LOL LOLJo
I had friends who lived on a farm who still used one of these old phones well into the 1970s, believe it or not!
